MacMillan Nurses

As part of their Christmas activities, South Caernarfon Creameries raised £475 for MacMillan Nurses. The farmer co-operative undertook a variety of charity events to raise the funds including a Christmas raffle and ‘Cheese and Wine Cellar’ ticket sales at the staff Christmas party.

“Every year we hold an annual Christmas Raffle specifically to raise funds for a charity and each year the staff choose a different charity” said Haf Williams of South Caernarfon Creameries. “MacMillan Nurses is a fantastic charity that some of the staff have a close personal connection so we were pleased to help raise funds for such an important cause. Macmillan Nurses provide a vital service especially for a rural community like ours.”

“We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part or who donated a raffle prize, in particular Larch Ltd, GAP Personnel, Parkwells, CHR Hansens, Cwrw Llyn, Comcen, Anglesey Commercial Spares, Imperial Commercials.”

On behalf of the Creamery, Haf presented a cheque to Eleri Brady, Fundraising Manager of North Wales for MacMillan Nurses who commented, “MacMillan Nurses rely on the generosity of the public and appreciate all donations. The money raised by South Caernarfon Creameries alone can offer financial grant support for two families who need treatment.”
