Staff Milestones

There’s been a raft of staff milestones – retirements and promotions to celebrate at South Caernarfon Creameries including some very special long-service awards. The farmer co-operative is indebted to their loyal staff, many of whom have enjoyed long periods of service.

After 33 years at the Creamery, South Caernarfon Creameries is sad to be saying goodbye to Cheese Grader Dic Mann. An invaluable member of the team, Dic has monitored and graded our cheese with care over the years to ensure that South Caernarfon’s Welsh cheese is consistently of the best quality. Dic’s skills as a Cheese Grader have been recognised far beyond the Creamery and has been invited to judge at many cheese events including the prestigious International Cheese Awards. Dic will be missed, but we now look forward to work with Iwan Lloyd his predecessor. Iwan has worked with Dic for the last year so has the best skills to be and excellent cheese grader in the future.

As for promotions, another longstanding employee Elwyn Jones has now been appointed Factory Manager. Elwyn has worked for the Creamery since 1986 and has progressed from temporary dairy hand to management over the years also undertaking Company Secretary and Human Resources roles.

Other members of staff are also celebrating a long career at the Creamery are Gareth Owen (Engineering Supervsior) and Peredur Williams (Farm Liaison Manager) both marking 20 years’ service.
