Quality Assurance Assistant

An excellent opportunity has become available within our Technical team.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant to support our weekend QA operations. Working closely with our QA Technician, you will help ensure product quality, food safety, and compliance standards are maintained across the site. Previous experience is not required – full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Assist the QA Technician with the collection of production samples, including water tank samples.
• Conduct laboratory testing in line with established protocols and accurately record results.
• Prepare and dispatch samples to external laboratories, including booking submissions on the ALS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the laboratory and sample reception areas.
• Support the preparation of Certificates of Analysis/Conformity as required.
• Ensure sample pots and consumables are prepared and available in all production areas.
• Contribute to the overall quality culture by following company procedures and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Training Provided

• Company induction covering Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental Awareness.
• Laboratory operations training relevant to the role.
• Full job-specific training.

Skills & Attributes

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team-working approach with a positive attitude.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently when required.
• IT literate.
• Must be over 16 years of age.
• A keen interest in food production.

Hours

10 hours per week - 8:00am – 1:00pm, Saturday and Sunday

Welsh language skills

Welsh speaking desirable.
