We at South Caernarfon Creameries produce a wide selection of premium Welsh Cheese, all our products are produced and packed in Wales using Welsh milk.

We offer customers a superb choice of cheeses, a comprehensive range of flavours and formats are designed to suit the Retailers, Wholesalers, Food Service, Food Manufacturers and the Export market.

Cheese making at South Caernarfon Creameries has retained traditional production methods, still salting by hand on open tables allowing the flexibility to make a range of cheeses which would not be possible using the fully automated equipment found in many modern creameries around the world.

Our highly experienced Cheese Graders are on site constantly monitoring and grading all of our cheese to ensure they reach their maximum potential, developing distinctive flavours and textures

Cheese Range

Our Welsh Cheddar Cheese varies from a creamy Mild Cheddar through to our tasty Mature Cheddar and rich savoury Vintage Cheddar. Welsh Slate Cavern Aged Cheddar is our signature Cheddar cheese matured underground at Llechwedd Slate Caverns to give a unique depth of flavour and texture.

Half fat and reduced fat cheddars for the more health conscious and Monterey Jack which is perfect for cooking

Welsh Caerphilly is made to a traditional recipe to produce an authentic cheese with all the provenance of our area.

Vintage Cheddar and Leek is always a favourite at shows and our Maplewood Smoked Cheddar

Pack sizes: 100g, 180g, 200g, 350g, 550g, 900g and 1.25kg for delis

Food manufacture formats are available in 20kg blocks, 5kg and 2.5kg sticks. Grated Cheese in 5kg and 1kg bags.


Traditionally Welsh Butter is salted and Legend states that as the Welsh economy was founded on mining and agriculture, salty foods were used in the diet to replace nutrients lost due to heavy manual work.

The exceptional quality of our Welsh cream gives us a delicious traditional butter that is produced and packed in Wales.
