Dairy Food Provider of the Year 2017

South Caernarfon Creameries has won the Dairy Food Provider of the Year award in the Food Awards Wales 2017.

The awards, now in their third year, were held on 30th May at the Marriott Hotel in Cardiff and were established to celebrate the Welsh food industry. Winners are chosen by members of the public

Alan Wyn-Jones, Managing Director at South Caernarfon Creameries said “We are all delighted to have been awarded the Dairy Food Provider of the Year Award for 2017. All awards provide fantastic recognition for our co-operative but as this particular awards was voted for by members of the public it is of real significance. Over the past couple of years, South Caernarfon Creameries has made substantial investment in its production, packing and innovation, which in turn has been of direct benefit to the industry, the local economy and Welsh dairy farming. The UK dairy industry has been through a challenging period in which the whole supply chain has been impacted. Our focus is very much on delivering quality products and service to our customers whilst ensuring that what we do is sustainable, so awards that recognise the co-operative as ‘best in class’ are an endorsement to our ongoing progress and development.”

“We are following a clear, defined strategy to ensure a long and successful future for the co-operative which will hopefully deliver sustained benefits to our farmer members and staff. “

South Caernarfon Creameries were shortlisted for the Food Awards Wales award alongside six other Welsh dairy companies.
