Dragon Brand Goes to Gulfod
South Caernarfon Creameries’ Dragon brand is now spreading it’s wings internationally and is set to exhibit at Gulfood; the world’s largest annual foodservice, hospitality and retail event which is being held from 23 – 27 February 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Dragon brand has become well-established in Wales but the growing international demand for both dairy products and British foods with provenance has prompted Wales’ leading farmer-owned dairy co-operative to take part at an overseas event for the first time.South Caernarfon Creameries will feature amongst the 4,200 exhibitors to showcase their range of award-winning cheese; mild, medium, mature and vintage Welsh Cheddar as well as a lighter option and a Vintage Welsh Cheddar with Leek which further bolsters their Welsh roots.“Dragon brand has become extremely popular here in Wales but it was always our intention for it not to become exclusive. There is so much more interest internationally for British produce and in particular cheese that this seemed the best time for us to exhibit overseas” explains Alan Wyn-Jones, Managing Director at South Caernarfon Creameries. “Gulfood should provide us with great opportunities to meet with distributors from carefully selected markets so that Dragon can be enjoyed worldwide.”
