Sial Paris
The Dragon team are proud to be showcasing our flagship range to a global audience at the world’s largest food innovation exhibition in Paris this week.
The SIAL Food Innovation Exhibition is held in Paris and over 7000 companies from over 100 countries are expected to attend this year’s event from 21-25 October.
This is a fantastic platform for us to showcase our products to the wider world and a good opportunity to introduce some new products as we seek to expand exports.
Among the cheeses on display will be our award winning Reduced Fat Cheddar, which won both Supreme Cheese and Best Welsh cheese at this year’s Royal Welsh Show. We’ll also be introducing our new Half Fat Cheddar, which won Gold at the International Cheese Awards in Nantwich and our Welsh Caerphilly, Wensleydale and Cheshire cheeses.
We’ll also be doing tastings of our luxury Welsh Slate Cavern Aged Cheddar made with Penderyn whisky, launched this year to celebrate our 80th anniversary, following a pioneering collaboration with Llechwedd Slate Caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog and fellow Welsh brand Penderyn whisky.
Our stand is grouped in the Welsh Assembly Food and Drink corner with other Welsh producers, so we are looking forward to reinforcing come of our local contacts as well as forging new ones.
Alan Wyn Jones, Managing Director said: “SIAL is a massive benefit to South Caernarfon Creameries because it provides us which a shop window to reach out, and extend our markets. These are exciting times for SCC and following a £13m investment in our cheesemaking and packing plant at Chwilog, increasing exports sales is an important goal in our ongoing growth strategy over the next few years.
“We’re particularly excited to show off some of the new products we have developed to an international audience including our Reduced Fat Cheddar and Half Fat Cheddar, the Welsh-made Caerphilly cheese and the luxury Slate Cavern Aged Cheddar infused Welsh Penderyn whisky.”
