Two Key Appointments
South Caernarfon Creameries has strengthened two key areas of the business with the appointment of industry professionals Carys Evans who joins the Farm Liaison Team whilst Nick Beadman has been recruited to work in the Marketing Department.
Carys joins Wales’ leading farmer co-operative after 34 years working for Genus Breeding. With responsibilities to act as one of the main line of communication between the farmers, supplying farmers and Creamery, Carys will also be looking to actively recruit new suppliers to support South Caernarfon’s exciting growth plans.
To strengthen the sales team, Nick has extensive cheese industry knowledge having been previously employed by Long Clawson and Norseland. South Caernarfon has had great success and long-standing relationships with many of the key supermarkets, and Nick has joined to help manage and drive forward these key accounts.
“South Caernarfon Creameries has ambitious growth plans so we are strengthening our team in order to ensure we achieve this. Farm Liaison is an essential role as they provide the link between producer and processor. Our growth plans also mean that we are actively seeking new suppliers who want to join our co-operative and that is where farm liaison is obviously vital” explains Alan Wyn-Jones, Managing Director at South Caernarfon Creameries. “As part of these growth plans, we need to further strengthen our sales and marketing support with our key accounts as we operate in a highly competitive market. We have made significant progress in the last 12 months in our commercial and marketing functions and are now well placed to drive forward our sales with both existing and new customers. It is very important that we have the right people to deliver this objective which is why we are pleased to welcome Nick to the team”.
